Welcome! I'm Nilu. I know the idea of trusting someone with your innermost thoughts, feelings, and impulses can be scary, awkward, and intimidating. Maybe you’re feeling stuck in your life and it’s left you feeling depressed and hopeless. Maybe you’re looking for new ways to relate to your emotions, improve your relationships, and find greater joy and fulfillment in your life. I’ve been there. I have sat in the client’s seat.

What's It Like To Work With Me?

I’m a big advocate for education around emotions and the nervous system, because it helps you understand why you act and feel the way you do. Once you learn to speak the language of your nervous system, you can start to spot patterns in your behaviours and feel a greater sense of control.

I’m also a big fan of storytelling, which is one of the reasons I became a therapist. My role is to walk alongside you as we explore the chapters of your life story with curiosity and compassion. Together, we’ll pause to sit with your pain, honour the places you’ve been, admire your strength, and gently examine the narratives you carry: that you’re not good enough, not worthy of love, too much, too sensitive, or an outsider.

Believing those stories likely helped you survive, and that matters. But I’m also here to empower you. So I ask questions: Who taught you that? How does something become “truth”? Is this belief serving you now? Are you the problem, or is it the system you’re living in?

You don’t have to be held back by old, outdated chapters, especially the ones you didn’t write.

Let’s explore, co-construct, and re-write.

Outside Of Work...

Movement and time in nature help me feel grounded, connected, and safe. You’ll usually find me swing or salsa dancing, going for long walks or bike rides, or having picnics by the water. I also love baking, making candles and soap, thrifting, getting lost in a good TV drama, going to local drag shows, and savoring all things Fall!
