“In the autumnal events of my own experience, I am easily fixated on surface appearances – on the decline of meaning, the decay of relationships, the death of work. And yet if I look more deeply, I may see the myriad of possibilities being planted to bear fruit in some season yet to come.” -Parker Palmer
It takes courage to reach out for help. I’m here to help you find healing in the place you are right now. Together, we will engage in self-exploration, and my goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and warm space to learn, develop, and achieve your goals. We will work on exploring your resiliency and building skills to cope.
As a therapist-in-training, I have used an eclectic approach, and modalities including solution-focused, person-centered, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive-behavioural, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based interventions. I am going through ongoing training and am looking forward to using new knowledge to support you on your journey. In previous work at a youth detention centre, I have provided care in areas of stress, trauma, impulsivity, interpersonal conflict, emotional regulation, behavioural difficulties, grief, and sleep hygiene. I have worked with diverse backgrounds and histories and my goal is to provide a culturally sensitive and trauma informed approach.
I offer therapy to individuals 13+ virtually or over the phone. It would be my honour and privilege to work collaboratively with you to progress on your journey.
